Set on a hillside overlooking the Venezuelan capital, this is RSHP’s first football stadium. Promoted by the city Mayor this stadium is part of the “La Rinconada” masterplan which establishes a new metropolitan park protecting the surrounding hillsides from further development. A new transport hub and a new baseball stadium are part of the intervention.
The football stadium features terraces cut into the hillside and folds in the topography that give way to a series of floating esplanades providing access to the various levels. A brightly-coloured bicycle wheel canopy roof hovers over the complex, which will be FIFA certified and will host the Caracas FC.
